What Are Microgrids?

  • Microgrids integrate on-site solar energy with battery storage for reliable, sustainable power.
  • The system operates daily but can also “island” itself to function independently during grid outages.
  • These community resiliency hubs provide food, shelter, and device recharging during emergencies.
